Boarding and Board and Train
Boarding with a trainer means that, while your dog may not be receiving training throughout their stay, they will have good behavior reinforced as part of their stay. Choose from a boarding option that will include daily mental enrichment and light training, or a board and train package that will set you and your dog up with the tools to meet your training goals, and the follow up to transition those skills back home!
All Boarding Dogs Must Be:
Up to date on vaccinations. DHLPP and Rabies are required for stay.
Comfortable crating without separation distress or anxiety. For safety, our dogs stay in kennels or crates when they are not being directly supervised. This ensures that they have adequate decompression time between training and activities, as well as keeps them and the other residents of the home safe and secure.
Able to complete an acclimation stay prior to their boarding dates. To ensure that they are a good fit, we schedule acclimation stays for any new boarders. This overnight stay will help confirm that your pup will be comfortable in our accommodations and that we will be able to meet your needs. Successful acclimation stay costs can be put towards the deposit for a longer stay.
Board and Train
A board and train option may be the best fit for you to jump start your dog’s skills and progress so you can come in and transition to utilizing the skills they’ve learned. All board and train stays include:
- Short (20 min) virtual planning session to crystallize stay goals
- Training plan and progress videos to take home
- Access to a self-led online course that aligns with your training goals
- Virtual Handoff Session and an additional in-person or virtual coaching session
- Training Gear to bring home!
Board and Train Pricing:
1 week stay: $1365.00
2 week stay: $2520.00
3 week stay: $3710.00
4 week stay: $4760.00
In order to provide a consistent training plan, board and train stays must be a minimum of one week. For stays less than a week, please see boarding pricing below!
Stays that end mid-week or are longer than 4 weeks can be arranged through confirmation of pricing with your trainer!

Not looking for a full Board and Train program? Boarding with Like Magic still means training, fun, and enrichment without the full program!
Like Magic offers limited boarding services for short (2 weeks or less) stays - in order to ensure proper exercise, enrichment, and personalized care we have very limited capacity for our boarders, but dog social dogs may play with the resident dog, Fig, as well as our social Heroes’ Guild dogs. In gaming terms, a “short rest” is a break for the characters in the game that allows them to rest, recover, and come back to the table rejuvenated!
During their short rest, your dog will also receive regular mental enrichment and some light training, so feel free to come prepared with a training goal to work on!
