The Handbook is a lengthy read, but has just about everything you might need to know when starting a program. This is the absolute best place to start with your training package.

Guild Hall is a client portal within my website - you’ll find classes and events available only to past and present clients there, as well as discounts on certain future services. You’ll also find recommended outlets for your dog, including sports, events, and sniffspot information.

Your google drive is available to you to reference your contract and contact and care form, make updates to your dog’s care information, upload vaccination records, as well as share videos and photos with questions or for feedback!

Character Sheet

Session Zero: Remi

Recommended Training Package: Campaign Board and Train, Private Sessions

It was so great connecting with you! I’m excited to support you and Remi moving forward.

🐶 Current Challenges:

Remi’s recent climbing and jumping are likely tied to adolescence and increased arousal. Your goals for her include:

  • Settling calmly in the house (especially around the cats)

  • Polite greetings (especially with kids!)

  • Loose leash walking (aiming for future hikes!)

  • Improving dog-dog interactions

  • Reducing poop eating

🧠 Key Focus Areas:

You’re already doing great—and Remi is a lot of dog at a challenging age. A few small shifts will go a long way:

  • Walks: Think of walks as engagement time, not just exercise. Short, engaging walks (even just 5 minutes!) can be more enriching than longer frustrating ones.

  • Sniffing: She can sniff if the leash is loose. If she pulls, pause and wait for attention before allowing her to sniff.

  • Reinforcement: Use food scatters to redirect her when passing dogs or people. Try Up/Down or Ready-Get-It to build attention.

  • Adolescent Persistence: If she ignores her name, clip on a leash, wait for attention, and reward with another chance to respond quickly next time.

🏡 Looking Ahead:

I recommend a longer board and train if possible—3 to 4 weeks—beginning 05/09. It includes 3 handoff sessions and extra support. We should also schedule a private in-person session ahead of that stay.

Board and Train Programs Include:

  • 3 Handoff Sessions following your stay

  • Recaps and Resources provided on your personalized webpage to keep you on track between sessions

  • Lifetime Access to all three Starting Zone Online self-led classes

  • Everything that the client portal Guild Hall has to offer - including nearby classes and events, discounted services, additional troubleshooting and coaching, and more!

  • Access to our exclusive Level Up*day school, training club, and sniffy walk program for 3 months following their stay

  • A go-home Loot Bag with gear, treats, and more!

🎥 I also recommend my Enrichment Made Easy webinar—it’s an hour of fun, simple games to help meet her needs.

🐾 Puppy Class Makeup: You’re welcome to attend any upcoming session in my next round, starting Thursday 04/17 at 6pm. Just let me know which day works best!

Let me know if the longer board and train sounds good and what your availability looks like for a private session. I’ll get my calendar updated accordingly!
