Starting your training journey

Training starts with Guidance.

Maybe you brought home a puppy and nothing is going the way you expected.

Maybe your dog has started reacting to strangers or other dogs and you’ve found yourself rearranging your life around it - avoiding certain streets, skipping gatherings, staying home.

Maybe there’s behavior you can’t explain and can’t ignore, and the gap between the dog you have and the life you were hoping to share with them keeps getting wider.

If you’re overwhelmed, frustrated, or just not sure where to start - this is where to start.

Guidance is a consultation plus a short-term coaching plan designed to help you make sense of what's happening, identify where things are actually breaking down, and build a clear, humane path forward. Rather than guessing which class or program is right, we slow down long enough to look at what your dog is communicating, what's getting in the way, and what kind of support will actually help.

Guidance includes a comprehensive consultation to understand your dog, your goals, and your current challenges, followed by a clear, practical plan tailored to your household and capacity. It's intentionally time-bound — the goal is clarity and momentum, not dependence.

At the end of Guidance, we'll decide together what makes sense next — whether that's targeted skillbuilding, ongoing welfare and behavior modification, or simply closing the loop with a solid plan and the confidence to move forward on your own.

Coaching continues with the Wayfinder Program

Ongoing one-on-one coaching for dogs whose challenges are rooted in stress, emotion, and lived experience - not a lack of training.

Some dogs need more than a behavior plan, and some owners need more than assignments.

Wayfinder is a private, ongoing coaching membership for teams navigating real complexity — behavior challenges rooted in stress, fear, or emotional history; dogs whose wiring requires a slower, more deliberate approach; owners who want to understand why their dog struggles, not just manage what they see.

Wayfinder is a minimum three-month commitment. The clients who do best here already know they're in it for the long haul.

What's included:

  • Video coaching and feedback throughout the week

  • Weekly assignments and ongoing plan adjustments

  • Customized support and resources

  • Access to Waypoint Hours — weekly live office hours covering open troubleshooting, new exercises, and planned discussions.

  • The Compass — a self-led course designed specifically for Wayfinder clients — launches September 2026.

Wayfinder also includes access to a growing library of add-on mini courses for current and alumni members, and a community space for discussion and video review as membership grows.

Active membership · $300/month

Graduate membership · $65/month

When active 1x1 support is no longer needed, graduate membership keeps you connected — retaining access to the course library, community, and Waypoint Hours.

All private work begins with Guidance.

This ensures we start with shared understanding, clear priorities, and a plan that actually fits your dog and your life. This is a great place to start to get a taste of virtual training and identify the best next steps for you - whether that’s one-on-one coaching, group classes, or self-led resources.
