Character Sheet

It was great working with you and the doodle duo today! I wanted to send a quick recap and some next steps to help keep things moving smoothly between sessions.

✨ Session Recap & Key Takeaways
We focused on managing excitement and reactivity — both around the house and on walks. You’re already doing a great job using the “Quiet Voice!” cue as a calm interruptor, so just adjusting the approach a little will hopefully yield some big changes!

🏠 Around the House

  • Window Barking: Add a predictable treat scatter spot in the house after “Quiet Voice!” when they respond to outside noises. This helps redirect their focus and create a positive routine.

  • Office Management: Try keeping the office off-limits when unsupervised. Curtains or window film in the living room can help reduce visual triggers.

  • People-Watching: As they improve, gradually reintroduce people-watching sessions — reward calm observation with treats to build reliability.

🚪 Greetings & Doorway Habits

  • Keep a toy and treats in the garage to use when you come in. Arriving through the garage helps pre-empt barking and gives them an immediate outlet for their excitement.

🐕 Walks & Reactivity

  • Use food scatters before known triggers, especially for Theo. If he stays calm, Tito is more likely to follow suit.

  • Keep walks short and set up for success, focusing on calm, predictable environments before adding more challenges.

  • This will be easier if they can be walked separately, but understand that’s not always a possibility!

Next Steps
I recommend the Cast Guidance program that includes regular virtual assistance with the multiple dogs and handlers, with ad hoc in-person sessions as needed to keep refining their progress. Cast Guidance is a monthly subscription that includes:

🧠 Weekly Office Hours for live Q&A and coaching
🎯 One Skill Check per month (30-minute virtual session)
📽️ Up to 5 minutes of video review weekly, with homework feedback
🎟️ 10% off all classes and workshops

Let me know how things go this week, and if you’d like, we can schedule our next check-in soon.
