Start Your Next Adventure

After board and train ends, the next step is to keep skills sharp and continue to support the progress your dog has made.

Fortunately, the first steps of that are very clear:

  • Identify three behaviors you really like your dog doing. Reward those every time you see them offered. These are your XP Boosts - they’ll help you along the way.

  • Decompress and ease back into routine. Don’t expect too much out of them right away - they’re excited to see you, you’re excited to see them, and you’re just getting used to each other again!

  • Check up on your dog’s training progress and plans below. Reach out with questions, but also clips (1-3 min. is ideal) of training or behaviors that you have questions about or want feedback on!

  • Free YouTube Channel

Controlled Chaos is my free YouTube channel, where I share real-world dog behavior discussions, case studies, and recorded training sessions. It’s designed to help you see how skills are applied outside of perfect setups, including how I think through common challenges as they happen.

This is a great resource if you learn best by watching, or if you want more context around the types of decisions we made during your dog’s board & train.

  • Free Substack Newsletter

The Canine Codex is a free Substack where I go deeper into the philosophy, methodology, and decision-making behind my training approach. Posts explore topics like regulation, arousal, enrichment, learning history, and how to adapt training to real life rather than ideal scenarios.

This is especially helpful if you want to better understand the “why” behind the work, not just the exercises themselves.

  • Paid Subscription – Enrichment & Training Support

Skill Tree is a paid subscription service focused on enrichment maintenance and keeping training engaging long-term. It offers structured ideas, themed practices, and playful challenges that help maintain skills without turning daily life into constant formal training.

This is a good fit if you want ongoing guidance and fresh ideas to support your dog’s needs while keeping things fun and sustainable.
